Here is the Siphon Break on the Volvo TMD 22 P Diesel Engine

Sea water comes in through the white hose to the transmission cooler
Transmission to raw water pump
Then through heat exchanger
then goes Up to the Siphon Break

Goes up to the Siphon Break
then down
(note: the white coolant box on the top right of the picture is for the genset)

after the Siphon break goes to the Exhaust Mixing Elbow
Now becomes red arrow, then to what I think is a muffler
Then back up again through the big exhaust hose

Note the doted Green arrow: that is a real "siphon breaker".
it is a small pipe that allow air to go trough, so that it will not "siphon" back water to your engine

Doted green arrow is the small pipe from the siphon break to outside.
Then water will just run to the big whole that evacuate water from your cockpit
