Amel Super Maramu 2000
Short version:
The sensor showing the bow thruster is in its Up position is no longer working.
On the 11 of October 2012, I left Bay Street Marina in Nassau using the bow thruster as normal.
After leaving the dock, retract the bow thruster up, then went to put the pin.
During the 20 hour trip I was surprised to see no leak from the bow thruster (while the previous few times I had a little leaks). When I arrive in Port Lucaya, extend the bow thruster, used it to dock, no problem.
Then I retract it, and sooner than usualy I hear the up position buzzer. So I stop.
I was prety tired of the solo trip, so not totally sure, but "I think I check visually it is not totally up". But then I pressed down until the buzzing, check visually it is down (and use the bow thruster to make sure it is working). Then press up, don't hear the high buzzer alarm, then hear some slight cracking noise, so I stop.
The bow thruster had passed the normal maximum up (where the hole line up for the pin) by 8 mm (1/3 inch)
On the picture you will note that both red lights are ON near the control box on the Bow Thruster
So now I was not longer able to lower the bow thruster...
After thinking it was from the up/down commend in the cockpit I stupidly created a little short.
After remembering the "Fuse" on the forum, I found some near the control box.
That fuse definitely saved lots of possible additional damage.
And now I can activate again down and up the bow thruster.
Also in my case, the 2 Up and Down lights for the bow thruster in the cockpit never light.

On the picture below, you can see both red light.
After I did the stupid short, only one is ON.
I noted a little bag with a fuse below the control box of the Bow Thruster
Open the control box and find a burnt fuse
In order to fit, you will notice it is bent!
Where can I find these sensors? How to change them?
Where can I find the On/Off Switch in the Cockput?
