Battery Compartment space SM2K #289 comes with the 1 + 8 battery storage Since I was measuring the space to see which battery can fit, I thought of sharing the information for the forum

Removed the pilot berth mattress and protected the floor (to change check the batteries and avoid any sulfuric acid damages the carpet)

Once open, you notice that the wood plank below the top is uneven

Forward it is 8 cm or 3"

Aft it is 4 cm or 1 1/2"

Then measuring how deep is the compartment you will see forward: 12" or 31 cm
Minus the 3" or 8 cm from the wood plank it gives you: 9" or 23 cm

and only 10" or 25 cm
Minus the 4 cm or 1 3/4" from the wood plank it gives you: 8.5" or 21 cm

Here is the measurement for the middle

Forward on the port side

Forward near the added connector for the wind turbine

Forward near the starting battery wires

Forward near the house wires

Total length is almost 64" or 162 cm

Width is almost 15 1/2" or 39 cm

Width near the battery connector is 13" or 33.5 cm
